"The Truman show syndrome: Why people think they’re living in a reality show"

In the article, the Truman show syndrome: Why people think they’re living in a reality show by Colin Lecher , the statement is based on The Truman show syndrome is very serious real thing that can mess with your mind and ruin your life if you do not address to it immediately. This syndrome is based on the movie from 1998 the Truman show starring Jim Carey. People are convinced they’ve somehow woken up- famous and are the stars of a worldwide reality show. It was named after this movie because in the movie a man gets a prank played on him that the life he believes to be a reality is actually fake and is a popular television series. The Truman show syndromes consist of people who image things to be real that aren’t and connecting the movie this new phenomenon.  This also base on People have always imagined things that aren't real our culture just changes what those things are. Therefore, a prank like this is believable because it is not that hard to become famous overnight now days.
In my opinion I think that reality TV or shows are overrated and the Truman show syndrome is like punishment. The author state in his article that “In the world where a tweet is read by million, becoming famous is reasonable". I think he right because social media are open to anyone who will want to have access on them. People in American seem to enjoy watching each other as if it is a reality show so for them it is nothing  new.
