real thing that can mess with your mind and ruin your life if you do not
address to it immediately. This syndrome is based on the movie from 1998 the
Truman show starring Jim Carey. People are convinced they’ve somehow woken up-
famous and are the stars of a worldwide reality show. It was named after this
movie because in the movie a man gets a prank played on him that the life he
believes to be a reality is actually fake and is a popular television series.
The Truman show syndromes consist of people who image things to be real that aren’t
and connecting the movie this new phenomenon. This also base on People have always imagined things
that aren't real our culture just changes what those things are. Therefore, a
prank like this is believable because it is not that hard to become famous
overnight now days.
In my opinion I think
that reality TV or shows are overrated and the Truman show syndrome is like punishment.
The author state in his article that “In the world where a tweet is read by
million, becoming famous is reasonable". I think he right because social
media are open to anyone who will want to have access on them. People in
American seem to enjoy watching each other as if it is a reality show so for
them it is nothing new.
